You're a day-care supervisor in a publicly funded day-care center. The budget is really tight and it seems like you're always trying to scrape together enough cash for whatever it is you need.

It's sometimes also tough to come up with enough activities to keep your children interested day in and day out.

You've heard some of the kids talking about a circus that's in town, and you think this might be a great way to spend an afternoon.

Now all you have to do is figure out if you can afford it! You can get a special group rate on tickets, which means they'll each cost $3.50.

Use of a community bus and driver will be $125 for the afternoon.

The activities fund for the center has almost run out, but it's going to be renewed next month. This means you can spend whatever is left taking the kids to the circus.

You've got 17 kids to take plus a worker to send along and a total of $145 left in the activities fund.

Will you have enough money to arrange a trip to the circus or will you have to wait until next month to plan another activity when there's more money?
