You've been asked to prepare a profile of the juveniles that were placed on parole in your community last year and the year before. You study the statistics, and you find that 1,036 juveniles were placed on parole last year. The year before, there were 1,139.

Last year, 600 of the juveniles were on parole for the first time. The year before, 722 were first placements.

Last year, 787 of the placements were male. The year before, 722 were male.

Last year, 485 people placed on parole were Hispanic, 500 were Caucasian and 51 came from other ethnic backgrounds.

The year before last, 495 were Hispanic, 525 were Caucasian and 119 came from other ethnic backgrounds.

Questions:

  1. By what percentage has the number of juveniles on probation increased or decreased between last year and the year before?
  2. What percentage were first-time placements last year? The year before?
  3. What was the male to female ratio last year? The year before?
  4. What were the percentages of the three ethnic groups last year? The year before?
