The Wall Street Journal reports that Plant Engineering Magazine conducted a compensation survey in 2002 with Abbott, Langer and Associates. Their findings showed that textile engineers had an average salary of $64,959.

Starting salaries for engineers are significantly higher than those of bachelor's degree graduates in other fields.
