Like most puppeteers, you do more than just perform puppet shows. In fact, you've been hired to produce a test show, called a pilot, for a children's television channel.

If the TV channel likes your pilot, it will become a daily show. The show will have several puppets in it.

You have to make the pilot for $35,000 or less. Your expenses include the following:

  • You need 4 puppets. Each one costs $3,200 to make.
  • You need to hire 2 puppeteers. They will each be paid $800 a day.
  • The television crew will cost $2,200 a day.
  • Other various expenses will cost $800 a day.
  1. You plan to finish the shoot in 5 days. Will you be under your $35,000 budget?
  2. How much will it cost if you take 7 days to finish the pilot?
