Real-Life Decision Making

You are a circulation manager for a monthly magazine that is distributed to various locations around your city, where it is sold. You also have a large number of subscribers.

It is the day after your magazine has been distributed. You want to sit back and relax for a bit before you begin the hard work of getting ready for next month's publication.

Uh, oh. You get a phone call from someone telling you that a mistake has been made. One of your distributors is a coffee shop franchise that has 37 stores around your city. The magazines that were taken to these stores did not contain a special supplement -- a guide to your city. This means that approximately 4,000 copies of your magazine were sent out incomplete.

This is bad news. No matter what you do, it will cost your publisher a lot of money.

What do you do?
