Directly supervises and coordinates activities of security workers and security guards.

Advises employees in handling problems or resolving complaints from customers, tenants, detainees, or other persons.
Apprehends or evicts trespassers, rule violators, or other security threats from the premises.
Assigns security personnel to posts or patrols.
Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire, bomb threats, and presence of unauthorized persons.
Develops and documents security procedures, policies, or standards.
Explains company policies and procedures to staff using oral or written communication.
Inspects and adjusts security equipment to ensure it is operational or to detect evidence of tampering.
Investigates disturbances on the premises, such as security alarms, altercations, and suspicious activity.
Logs items distributed to persons, such as keys and key cards.
Monitors and authorizes entry of employees, visitors, or other persons.

You would often handle loads up to 10 lbs., sometimes up to 20 lbs. You might do a lot of walking or standing, or you might sit but use your arms and legs to control machines, equipment or tools.
