You are a retail merchandiser working for a large department store. The holiday season is coming, and you are getting ready to create a display of winter coats.

Your display will feature a number of racks, called four-ways because each rack has 4 arms. To showcase your four-ways, you plan to set up a red back wall with a green bulkhead. The bulkhead is a structure that goes over top of the back wall, resembling a partial "roof." The coats (which you call "units") hang on the four-ways.

The back wall is 50 feet long and 15 feet high. The bulkhead is 50 feet long and 2 feet wide. You will need to paint both the wall and the bulkhead. Keep in mind that you'll need to do 2 coats of paint.

Your store's paint department will issue you the paint you need, but you have to know how much to order. Each container of paint covers 350 square feet.

You have 240 units to display. Each arm of a four-way will hold 6 units. Each four-way requires 10 square feet to shop. This means it takes 10 square feet for shoppers to move around it.

  1. How big will your display have to be to accommodate all the winter coats?
  2. How much red paint will you need to order to cover the back wall?
  3. How much green paint will you need to order to cover the bulkhead?
