You are a retail merchandiser with a large department store. Together, you and your supervisor develop a plan and a schedule for setting up a lovely garden display. The display will contain flowers, pots, garden elves and some pieces of artwork that local artists offered to provide. "The artists' association and the store manager have arranged the art display," your supervisor says.

You assure your supervisor that you will complete the display in two days.

By the second day, everything is in place except for the art. The artists have not delivered their work as promised.

You need to explain this to your supervisor and make suggestions for handling the situation. What would you say?
