Real-Life Communication -- Solution

As a self-employed coach, you must market yourself. Your website is an important tool. Here's what you could write in the "About Me" section of your website:

As a coach, I specialize in helping young professionals balance their careers with family life. I know how difficult it can be for young families. I have two teenagers and I've been married for 17 years. For 10 years I juggled my publishing career with my family life. I was not satisfied with the shape my life was taking. I wanted to be a better parent and feel more rewarded by my career.
After working with my own life coach, I made a career change. I hold a degree in marketing and an MBA. I went to Coach U and completed the advanced coaching program. Now I am an International Coach Federation associate certified coach and I've been helping my clients make meaningful changes in their lives for the past three years.
I combine my love of coaching and belief in the value of coaching with my experience as a working parent in a high-demand profession. I am dedicated to making a difference in my clients' lives and helping them plan for the lives they want to live. I have personally experienced the power that self-awareness and informed choices can make. My clients choose to work with me because they value the strategic, balanced action plans I help them create.

"Communication is one of the most important aspects of this work. Coaching requires you to be skilled in communicating at all levels -- listening to the words and the non-verbal communication from your client as well as picking up on the emotional field. It is also very important to be able to communicate back on all the levels so that the message is heard and understood," says Beth Garrish. She is an ICF associate certified coach.
