Real-Life Decision Making

You are checking on the passengers one last time before take-off. You're making sure they're wearing seatbelts and that they've stowed away all their baggage.

One of the passengers has a large purse on her lap. She wants to hang onto it because it has money inside. For safety reasons, during take-off all passengers are supposed to have their bags in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of them.

This woman insists on keeping her purse on her lap. What do you do?
