Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You guide the man into a healthier way of seeing his pain.

This would be the approach of elder Calvin Pompana.

"Some of the little devils that we carry -- jealousy, anger, resentment, hate, fear -- all those things can cause us a lot of emotional and mental difficulty," he says.

"If people would learn to deal with some of that stuff, they're going to be far better off physically. And spiritually, they will be more in touch with who they are."

He believes that physical pain is connected to the spirit, the emotions and psychology.

"We all have immune systems, right? We just have to get in touch with them. Basically, what I do is try to get people in touch with their own healing. It's kind of a self-healing journey, what I teach."
