Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You let it go, hoping that your warnings will have an effect.

The customer drives away. Though you think he's being very irresponsible, you forget about the incident. After all, you warned him.

A short time later, you're watching TV with your family. A report airs about a traffic accident resulting in serious injuries for the driver and his two small children. You recognize the vehicle -- it's the same one you had in the shop a couple of hours earlier.

You are overcome with feelings of guilt. You should have done more. You have a little trouble looking your family members in the eye. You can't help but think it could have been them and that, perhaps, you could have helped prevent a tragedy.

"There's no way you should take that type of risk. Take the time to call the police," says automotive technician William Bond.
