Real-Life Decision Making

The idea is wonderful: your company wants to design a program that mining firms can use to find quantities of gold or other valuable minerals in any given area.

You're the knowledge engineer working on the project. For three months, you've been gathering a knowledge base about how geologists and other experts select an area for further testing. But you're having trouble finding experts willing to sit down and answer the questions you need to complete a workable knowledge base.

You are also starting to feel there are too many variables in mining to create a valuable knowledge base. You hate to admit it, but the most junior person in the field can outperform your system! So what do you do?
