Real-Life Decision Making

You are a veterinary pathologist working in a research lab. Today, a dog owner brings in a beautiful dog that she is donating for veterinary research. The lab manager signs a contract with the woman stipulating that the dog is to be euthanized (killed) and used for veterinary research purposes.

It is a beautiful, loving, healthy animal. You know somebody who would take it and give it a good home. It breaks your heart to think of euthanizing this lovely dog.

What do you do?
