Real-Life Communication

Dancers must deal with criticism and rejection as part of the job. You are working for a dance company and you have been told that your dancing is not meeting the expectations of the production. The director is very direct with you and holds nothing back when she tells you about all the faults she has found in your dancing. She asks you to return tomorrow with suggestions about how you will improve. What you say to her tomorrow may determine your future with the company.

You must carefully choose your words. You are hurt and angry with what the director said. However, your feelings are not going to help you keep your job dancing.

What will you say to her tomorrow?
