Real-Life Decision Making

When you're an Internet marketer, there are many decisions you must make. And all of those decisions, whether good or not so good, will directly affect your client's sales or website "hits."

"If you're strictly an Internet based company, a lot of your time is spent on marketing," says Internet marketer Susan Negen. "The straight formula for success in Internet marketing is traffic plus conversion equals profit.

"So you should be spending most of your time figuring out ways to drive traffic to your site, and once the traffic is there, how are you converting them into sales, and that's it," Negen adds. "It's that simple and it's that hard, both at the same time. And it's the same whether you're working for a large company or whether you're working for yourself."

You are a self-employed Internet marketer. You want to create a website for yourself that will attract customers. You have to decide whether to invest your work time on your own website or spend your time working on sites for other clients. You must weigh the benefits of new business clients against the benefits of developing your own revenue-generating sites.
