You're a turf specialist. You need to apply fertilizer to a golf course lawn. In order to decide how much fertilizer to purchase, you must calculate the amount needed.

For every square yard of lawn, three-quarters of a gallon of fertilizer is needed.

If the golf course is 1,500 square yards, and approximately 150 square yards of this space is taken up by sand traps and ponds, how much fertilizer will you need?
