Real-Life Communication -- Solution

You're an inventor who has just come up with an idea that will prevent animals from getting frostbite on their ears during the cold winter months. You're pitching the project to potential investors. This is how you answer a few of their questions:

1. How many ranchers did you talk to in the area?

I talked to 30 ranchers in the area about the problems facing their animals in the extreme cold.

2. What is one of the dangers farm animals, especially newborns, face in the cold weather?

Frostbite, especially to the ears of newborns, is one of the dangers facing large farm animals.

3. What are the muffs made of?

The muffs are made out of polar fleece and Velcro fasteners.

4. Where do you see potential markets for these earmuffs?

The potential market for these muffs are in the rural areas across the country and also internationally.
